Classic Golf Tour

Day 1

You are greeted on arrival with VIP Marhaba (welcome in Arabic) service and escorted through immigration and customs to your limousine for transfer to your luxury hotel.

Day 2

Palm Island in Duabi

On your first day in Dubai you will explore the architectural wonders that Dubai is known for. It’s your first sight of the iconic 7-star Burj al Arab, designed in the shape of a billowing sail, homage to Dubai’s seafaring trade, and the incredible Palm Island with its breathtaking views of Dubai’s dramatic skyline.

This afternoon and evening you are at leisure to explore the gardens, courtyards and domes of your hotel, relax on the private beach or perhaps enjoy a revitalizing treatment at the Spa.

Keen golfers may wish to get a head start on their golf experience with a private golf lesson or an afternoon round at one of Dubai’s many world class golf courses.

Day 3

Your day starts with golf at the home of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic – the Majlis course at the Emirates Golf Club where you will tread in the footsteps of the world’s greatest golfers, on the first all-grass course in the Middle East.

Non-golfers will experience a traditional Oriental treatment in the heart of the luxurious Hammam spa.

As the sun sets, you soar to the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa for dinner at the elegant Atmosphere Lounge and Restaurant, offering world-class cuisine and spectacular views of Dubai from the tallest building in the world.

Following dinner, your cosmopolitan evening continues with entrance and a table at one of the city’s most exclusive night clubs - the Armani Prive.

Day 4

This morning you will be playing on the lush fairways and greens of the Dubai Creek golf course – a “Top 100 Must Play Course” where the 17th and 18th holes provide one of the most dramatic finishes found anywhere in the world.

Women shopping in Dubai

Non-golfers will learn the art behind the heady Arabian perfumes, attend an Arabic cooking class, or visit the Madinat to shop for silver, marble and silk treasures.

Following golf, change into your ‘safari’ gear for a 4-wheel drive through the sands of the mysterious Rub Al Khali (the Empty Quarter). Your experienced driver will take you for a thrilling journey across the dunes to a romantic desert encampment for a sumptuous Arabic BBQ of grilled meats, fresh salads and local sweets. Complete the experience with delicate Arabian henna designs or a puff of the fruity flavored “Shisha” tobacco from a traditional water pipe.

Day 5

Today you are more deeply immersed in the fascinating heritage and culture of Dubai. You stop first at the oldest building in Dubai, the Al Fahidi Fort, displaying a rich collection of objects showcasing the country’s historical past. You will follow Dubai’s journey from its origins as the pearl diving mecca of the East to its status as the City of Merchants.

The winding streets of the charming Bastikaya Quarter unfold as you stroll through one of the most traditional Emirati neighborhoods. You visit the Mosque and Textile Souk and stop in the courtyard of a traditional wind tower home to enjoy lunch and a cultural discussion with an Emirati host.

Then it’s a short ride across Dubai Creek on a traditional abra (water taxi) to experience the aromas of the Spice Souk and barter for treasures at the Gold Souk.

In the afternoon you return to the Emirates Golf Club for a round on the Faldo course. The second of the club’s award-winning courses, the Faldo was designed by Europe’s most successful golfer, and features a wadi (dried river bed) running through much of the course.

Non-golfers will be whisked back to modern times with a shopping trip to the chic boutiques at the world’s largest shopping center, Dubai Mall. You may want to stop for a refreshing drink at the trendy cafes along The Marina, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city.

Day 6

Al Maha desert Resort Spa

Following breakfast you will be met at the hotel for one of the highlights of your trip – a night at the luxurious Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, where you will enjoy a range of activities. Learn about the art of falconry, go on a sunset camel trek or take a guided walk to view the desert Oryx and Gazelles. Following a romantic torch-lit dinner, retreat to your desert “tent” for a serene evening by your own mini-swimming pool.

Day 7

Palm Island in Duabi

This morning you return to Dubai for a night at your luxury hotel situated on the banks of Dubai’s Creek. It’s your last day in this magical city and you may wish to bargain for a few more local treasures to remind you of your journey, or simply relax over lunch on the terrace overlooking the Dubai Creek before a final round of golf on the floodlit par-3 course.
